Chiropractor Jake Hayes has been practising in Bristol since 2001 after completing a full-time four year BSc degree at the Welsh Institute of Chiropractic at the University of Glamorgan, he is registered with the General Chiropractic Council and is a member of the British Chiropractic Association and College of Chiropractors.
Jake also has a degree in Physiology and Sports Science from the University of Glasgow. Since 2014 he has been a Clinical Tutor at the University of South Wales helping to train future generations of Chiropractors. Jake was inspired to become a Chiropractor after seeing how much benefit and relief it gave to his family. Jake grew up in Bristol and returned to his hometown to practice on graduation. Since then he has married and has two teenage children. He is a keen and enthusiastic sportsman, having tried most sports over the years. Nowadays you’ll find Jake mostly running or cycling, as an active member of both Bitton Road Runners and Saltford and Keynsham (SAS) Cycling Club, with an occasional ski trip thrown in during the winter for relaxation! Not being content with completing 17 Bristol Half Marathons or 12 London Marathons, Jake has developed an ultramarathon habit which has included two successful finishes of the Ultra-Trail du Mont Blanc, a 105 mile non-stop circumnavigation of Mont Blanc via France, Italy and Switzerland, as well as running both the Cotswold Way and West Highland Way each in under 24 hours. Away from competition Jake is a keen rugby fan, as a season ticket holder following the mighty Bristol Bears at Ashton Gate or as a parent treading the sidelines at Old Reds. Being a Chiropractor has allowed Jake to combine his lifelong love of activity with professional knowledge to help treat and avoid injury as well as promote good healthy living.
